What to expect

What happens before an engagement starts: a conversation about fit, a look at your site, and an honest read on whether we're right for each other.

Before any engagement starts, we both need to answer one question: is this a fit? Discovery is how we get there. It's a short, honest stretch of conversation and analysis before either side commits, and it exists so nobody starts an engagement that shouldn't have started.

Discovery happens before you sign. Kickoff happens after, as week one of the work. Don't confuse the two: discovery decides whether we work together, kickoff starts the clock once we do.

We'd rather tell you we're not the right fit on a call than three weeks into the work. Discovery is built to surface that early, for both of us.

What discovery is for

Discovery does three jobs. It tells you whether GrowthX solves the problem you actually have. It tells us whether we can move the needle for your business. And it gives us enough of a read on your site and market to make kickoff a working session instead of a cold start.

None of that requires a long sales process. It's a focused conversation and a look at the evidence.

What happens

A conversation about your situation

We start with what you're trying to grow and what you've already tried. Where your traffic and pipeline come from today, what's stalled, and what changed when AI started sitting between you and your buyers. This is where we learn whether your problem is one a system like ours is built to solve.

A look at your site and your market

We take an early read on your website and where your growth can come from: how you show up in search and in AI answers, where the gaps are, and who you're up against. You get a useful read on your position either way, whether or not we work together.

An honest fit check

We talk through the trade plainly. What the engagement asks of you, what you can expect, and whether the timing and the team on your side make it work. If it isn't a fit, we say so and point you somewhere better. The honest version of fit lives on is GrowthX for me.

Scope and the path to start

If we both want to proceed, we scope the engagement and walk through what onboarding looks like. Pricing is one plan, from $6,000 a month, and on the call we scope where you land above that, since what's right depends on your work.

What we need from you in discovery

Not much, and nothing you have to prepare. Come with a straight account of your goals and what's worked and hasn't. The clearer you are about what you're trying to move, the sharper our read on whether we can help. You don't need to grant access yet. That comes once you decide to start.

What comes after

If discovery ends in a yes, the next step is kickoff, where the eight-week clock starts. Before that, two pages are worth reading: what you bring for the access, people, and time the work needs, and our delivery model for who owns what once the work begins.
