Scores
The four signals GrowthOS scores every page on: Health, Quality, impressions and traffic capture, and the Big Picture status they roll into.
GrowthOS scores every page on four signals. This page defines each one. For how the scoring works and why it's built this way, read taxonomy and scoring.
The four signals
| Signal | What it measures | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| Health | Technical quality: crawlable, fast, structured, machine-readable. Independent of content. | 0 to 100, with an A to D grade |
| Quality | Intent-relative fit: the right format, trustworthy, extractable, engaging. Judged per persona where relevant. | A rating |
| Impressions and traffic capture | How much of a page's available impressions and traffic it earns against its potential. | Share of potential |
| Big Picture | The combined status across the four signals above, graded against the page's own potential. | Optimal, Good, Developing, Needs Work, Incomplete |
Health and Quality stay separate on purpose. A broken page and a thin page need opposite fixes, and a blended number would hide which one you're looking at. The methodology behind that split lives on taxonomy and scoring.
Big Picture labels
The Big Picture rolls the other three signals into one readable status. It grades a page against what it could capture, not against an abstract bar.
| Label | Read it as |
|---|---|
| Optimal | Capturing close to its potential |
| Good | Performing well, with minor headroom |
| Developing | Climbing, not there yet |
| Needs Work | Underperforming its potential |
| Incomplete | Missing the data or content to judge |
What this page leaves out
The internal weights, point allocations, and formulas behind these scores are intentionally not documented here. The reasoning is the part worth understanding, and it's covered on taxonomy and scoring. The exact math stays under the hood.
A Health score and a Quality rating ship today. The full Quality model that resolves Quality into a single 0-to-100 score across its dimensions is on the roadmap. We label what's live and what's coming so you always know which is which.
Common questions
Why is Quality a rating and not a number like Health? The rating ships today and tells you whether a page fits the searcher's intent. The full 0-to-100 Quality model is designed and on the way.
What does "per persona" mean for Quality? The same page can read strong for one buyer and weak for another. GrowthOS judges Quality against the personas a page is meant to serve, so it shows both.
What feeds the Big Picture? Health, Quality, impressions capture, and traffic capture, each measured against the page's potential.
